Relaxed dining in the heart of Hitchin, at Fairfield Park, Stotfold,The Crown in Northill and now at The Red Lion, Milton Bryan.

Doughtys Brasserie offers a sophisticated and relaxed dining experience in the heart of Hitchin’s vibrant town centre, at Fairfield Park in Stotfold and at The Crown in Northilll for lunch, brunch or an evening meal. Both restaurants and the pubs are situated in fantastic listed buildings which have all been lovingly restored after years of neglect, they all exude a warmth and personality all of their own.

We are committed to using only the finest seasonal produce prepared with a simplicity that will delight even the most discerning of tastes. We hope there is something for everyone, whether you are out for a snack or a special occasion.


Doughtys Brasseries, The Crown at Northill and The Red Lion are ideal for the casual visitor, business lunches or evening functions.  We can cater for up to 60 guests in all the locations for events and we tailor all our menus totally to your personal requirements.

Watch the world go by over a cup of coffee or spend a delightful evening with friends or loved ones in comfort. We are delighted to welcome returning guests but love to see new faces too.

Doughtys Brasseries prepares all types of cuisine with that special twist of subtle seasoning that is lovingly and freshly prepared and cooked to perfection.

New - "Doughty's Dining Card" and food served until 8pm on Sunday's at The Crown.

Tuesday - Thursday - 11am - 3pm and 6.30pm - 11pm    

Friday and Saturday - 11am -3pm and 6.30pm - 12am

Doughty's in Hitchin is closed on Mondays and Sundays except Valentines Day, Mothers Day and Fathers Day.
